On 5 October I watched Kolo!!
Do you know what kolo is? Kolo is folk dance in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro. Generally it is danced by country sides and people dance it in the wedding, social and cultural ceremonies.
It is better for you to watch it rather than I mention longer!
My friend is dancing in this video! Kolo is like team sports, so Japanese also can enjoy it!
One of features of kolo is to move legs, not upper body. It looks like hard exercise.
Depends on the regions, costumes and ornaments are different. It related to geographical circumstances or their culture. I heard it the explanation about Kolo, but almost in Serbian language!!! I shame on me, I studying the Balkan history, but I cannot understand language. While I was listening their explanation, I felt that....
Anyway, their performance was amazing and I like their dance!! After the performance, I joined the Velika Žurka (means Big Party)!!!
When I arrived at the place, many people already began to dance although they had been danced on the stage!!! There are singers, accordion and key board players!!! So we danced with live-music!!!
I will introduce one music I like!!
The singer is Nada Topčagić. She was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is the most popular singer during the 1980's. Still now her song was sang by new generations!!!
On December, the party and performance will be held again! Of course I wanna go there!!
