The morning of the last day! Last naight we ate snacks and had a drink and talked a lot. I slept very well! It was really good not to rain, but it was so hot.
This is Orthodox church. Orthodox is Serbs' religion. As I mentioned before, Muslims. Catholics and Orthodox have lived together peacefully in Bosnia. In western Europe same Christianity group triggered religious wars. Compare to that, Bosnia was so peaceful country.
This is traditional Serbian house. They had same design house for live stocks. I remembered that I watched caws, and sheep!!
We had take a rest under the cherry tree. One of my friends climbed tree to grab cherries! I really wanted to do that, but my food was so awful. I gave up and just concentrated on eating.
Potočari! We will reach the goal soon! But it was far awaaaay.
Evo ti. Here is Srebreica. This is grave for victims. Did you see green graves? Those were new grave for people who are buried this year. Researcher conducted to excavate, but it takes long time to identify people. That' why there are many families of victims who do not know if their family dead or not.
On the left side, it is written that towns Bosnian Muslims were killed." 8372...ukupan broj zrtava koji nije konacan" means that total number of victims who never finished. Still now, new dead bodies are discovered, so every year the number of victims is increased. For just 10 days more than 8000 Bosnian Muslims were murdered. Moreover, Bosnian Serbs Army created mass graves and buried Bosnians in there and excavated and re-buried in other places. It was so well planned and atrocious.
Under the green roof, special ceremony was held. But I cannot participated in, because I am not Muslim.
People carry put green coffins. This year, more than 600 people are buried. I could not say anything.
When I arrived at Srebrenica, I was surrounded Muslims people. Many Bosnians came from each religion of Bosnia. Because of lot of people, Srebrenica was lively, but other side, here was surrounded by sorrow. I just stood there and kept silence. I have never experienced the war and I was always in the good situation. I just read books about the war. Now I believed that a picture is worth a thousand words. I still cannot believe that I walked 100Km on the same roads which Bosnian Muslims walked during the war.
This is museum. But that day was really shit. I could not enter there, because Serbian and Croatian president would visit there! At 15:00 museum would open for us, but I would miss bus. It is hideous. I believe that somebody tell me I should come to here next year too!
I was sad a little bit and got angry :D but when I had a coffee and juice, I was calm. This big golden pan is for coffee! I like Turkish coffee.
While some guys went to ceremony, I was waiting for them under the tree. I do not have religion, so it is strange and interesting to see Muslim culture.
Time past so fast. I took a bus with everybody. When I saw the landscape which I saw when I went to Tuzla from the bus' window, everything flushed back. I just could not believe every moment I spent with Bosnian people and I was so impressed with their hospitality, I was crying. When we got the rest point, I just was in the bus, because it was very hard to see everyone's face. But one of my friends came to me and bought hamburger and drink for me. I ate and drunk all outside with tears.
Some Bosnian guy told me that Bosnian people hate tears. After the war, people hate tears more. In Bosnia, if you faced hard things, everybody take positively and keep going with saying joke.
I had a beer with my friend but was still crying. It was hard to say good bye, but we hugged and we did.
It was first time to trip abroad alone. I did not expect I had such a great memories. Still now I can remember everything. Next time, I will describe about marš mira and war time in Bosnia.
bye now!my
