My note of a journey to Bosnia! (4)

The Second day of marš mira!! I just slept for 3 hours, because it was uncomfortable for me in the tent. I could not sleep at all, I walked around. It was 6:00am. Some people already departed, but my friends still slept well, maybe because of "party" :D  Everybody woke up at around 7:00am and washed teeth and face and got ready for march! Already sunshine glared on the ground. I put sun block on my body and we went! We took a great photo, but I just announce, because of privacy problems :)  You will guess that beautiful nature make me relaxed, but in fact, my food was so hurt. Other members were so lively and walked fast. Further, they had appetite, so ate a lot. Of course I had nothing appetite.  Bosnian Muslims escaped from Bosnian Serb Army through the river in a photo. I imagine that scene. Beautiful landscape and the reality of war was so different.,,,I just stared at the river.  Today's most hard part was the UDRČ. We climbed up 1043m. I have read  UDRČ had so ro

Around 16:00, people began to gather to Nezuk. I did not expect that so much people participate in marš mira. People of my group came many times in marš mira, so they are expert and have a lot of friends. I was supposed to sleep with my group, but some guy invited me to stay his house. He is manager of gathering place in Nezuk. I felt so bad, but my friends said no problem, so I stayed his house. He has a lot of fruit trees. We picked up plums and peers and ate them up. His wife served delicious foods and juice. Everything is home made!!! I was really hungry, so I just ate them up :P When I was eating dinner, I met Aida. She is niece of that guy and studies math in University of Tuzla. She guided me Nezuk. We talked about a lot of stuffs. After the dinner, her brother and his friends came his home to have a coffee. Everybody is so lively and funny guys. They called me Yoko, anyway, I do not  mind. I was just so happy to meet nice people and excited to go marš mira ;)  In the morning

My note of a journey to Bosnia! (2)

The first day in Sarajevo, I did not have specific plans. I searched place where I wanted to visit, and went to. It was great. I could talk with Bosnians and French guy. However, the second day is totally different. Since I was in Japan I had planed to participate in marš mira!! I woke up at 7:oo am and had a break fast and watched news. Sarajevo TV news casters spoke on television about marš mira, so I was excited :D I left Sarajevo at 11:10.   This is the main bus station in Sarajevo. Be careful, we cannot pay by credit card! You have to prepare enough Bosnian mark. I bought a bus ticket to Tuzla. It was 20 mark. In Croatia and Sarajevo, we have to pay about 1 euro to put big luggage in trunk.    Anyway, my final destination is not Tuzla, but Nezuk. But in sarajevo nobody knows where is Nezuk. I knew that Nezuk is located in Tuzla district, so I believed that I could manage everything when I arrived at Tuzla.  It took three hours to Sarajevo to Tuzla including rest time. It was v

I tripped to Bosnia from 5 to 12 July! My purpose to participate marš mira. I will explain about it next time, but today I will tell audiences my Sarajevo's trip with photos ;) The hostel is really cheap, one night per person is 9 euro.  I booked one day before I leave Ljubljana. Owner picked me up for free. He was really friendly. When I arrived at Sarajevo, it was already around 22:00. I slept soon when i arrived at hostel, because I was really tired of moving from Ljubljana to Sarajevo. Anyway, I  could use a  big room for myself!  This is the orthodox church. It is located in near my hostel. I woke up early morning.  And  I found it out!  This is Ali Pasha Mosque. On the way to the bank, to exchange money. I found it out.  It was built in 1560. Bosnian Sanjak-Bey Hadim Ali-Pasha contributed to built it.  The Mosque is located near center of Sarajevo. The mosque got heavy damage during the Bosnian War from 1992 to 1995. In 2004 the mosque was restored. Anyway,

Kajmak in marmelada

Hello. Today I will introduce new film, "Kajmaj in Marmelada" to my audiences!;) Although the film tells us the minorities are put a stigma on,  the story goes on with funny jokes ;D This film is directed on 2003 by Branko Đurić, who was born in Bosnia and moved to Slovenia because of the Bosnian War. He  got married Tanja Ribič, who is Slovenian actress and singer. Branko and Tanja also acted couple in this film!! 125,000 saw the film in Slovenian theaters and it marks Slovenian record. You can watch it through you tube. You can watch all film, but without subtitles. Božo is from Bosnia, jobless and crazy for beer and foot ball, and stupid, but he is pure! And maybe we can see typical Slovenian and Bosnian behave :D  I hope you like iiit!

Slovenia is 20 years old

Today is the "Dan državnosti". It means the day of statehood. On 26 June 1991, Slovenia declared the independence from Yugoslavia. The next day, the ten-days war happened. As a result, Slovenia won the war and got independence on 8 July.  Since Josip Broz Tito dead in 1980, ethnic unity, political and economic policy had undermined. Then nationalism movement occurred in many places. Especially, it is important that the conflict between Albanians and Serbs in Kosovo, which locates in the southern Serbia. At that time, Kosovo was a part of Serbia. In Kosovo, however, many Albanians lived and demanded autonomy from Serbia. Slobodan Mirošević, who was Serbian president, rejected their demand. Croatia, Slovenia, and Kosovo strongly opposed Serbian policy. Then Slovenia began to seek their way and reached the conclusion of independence. Comapre to other constituted republics of Yugoslavia, Slovenia is homogeneous and economically developed country. Further, there were few people

As the arrest of Ratko Mladić

On 26 May 2011, Ratko Mladic was arrest in Lazarevo, which is the village of the northern Serbia, by the Serbian Security force. He lived under the assumed name, Mirolad Komodic in the house which was owned by his relatives. About 8000 Bosnian Muslims, mainly men and boys, were killed by Mladić's forces just for 10 days, from 11 to 22 July, 1995.       It took for 16 years to arrest him. On 11 May, Serge Brammertz visited to Serbia to offer Serbia to make an effort to arrest Mladić. Serbian president, Boris Tadić promised to do his bes
